Everland First-Timer Guide: Rides, Gardens, Transport and a Smart One-Day Plan

Everland and the Korean Folk Village are both in Yongin, so they make a smart two-day pairing. They are not next-door attractions: the folk village is in Giheung-gu and Everland is in Cheoin-gu. Allow roughly 30 minutes by taxi or car in normal conditions, more in traffic, and verify the live route on NAVER Map or KakaoMap.

The Korean Folk Village recreates a Joseon-era settlement using traditional houses relocated from different regions. It adds folk performances, craft and seasonal-life experiences, making it a strong cultural contrast to Everland’s modern rides and gardens.

Location key map

Everland is in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, south of Seoul. The highlighted boundary shows Gyeonggi-do; the flag marks the resort.
  • Recommended plan: Everland on Day 1, sleep in Yongin, Korean Folk Village on Day 2.
  • By public transport: routes usually require transfers; the folk village’s official guide lists buses from Sang-gal, Suwon and other hubs. Check the current route on the day.
  • By car: search “Korean Folk Village” or the official address, 90 Minsokchon-ro, Giheung-gu, Yongin.
  • Time needed: allow at least half a day so performances and workshops do not become a photo-only stop.

Safety and comfort

  • Check height, health and loose-item restrictions before queuing.
  • Do not ride through motion sickness or severe heat.
  • Use sunscreen and water breaks; summer humidity can be intense.
  • Set a group meeting point in case mobile service is weak.
  • Never enter staff-only areas or touch animals outside instructions.

Rainy-day plan

Weather can stop outdoor rides. Build a backup around indoor attractions, restaurants and covered shops, and check whether your ticket or transport has a weather-related change policy. A disposable poncho helps, but shoes with grip matter more.
