Seoul St. Mary’s: confirm the Seoul campus and your appointment route

The full destination is The Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, at 222 Banpo-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Save 가톨릭대학교 서울성모병원 서울 서초구 반포대로 222 in your map app. The Catholic Medical Center network contains several St. Mary’s hospitals, so a search for the English name alone can send you to a different campus. Match the address on your appointment confirmation before travelling.

Start with the International Healthcare Center

The hospital’s current outpatient page lists +82-2-2258-5745 and ihcc@catholic.ac.kr. It lists weekday center hours of 08:30–17:00 and scheduled primary-care consultations until 16:30. These are separate from emergency services. Older brochures can carry different email addresses; use the current official contact page when preparing a request.

The published pathway allows patients without Korean National Health Insurance to arrange an IHC primary-care consultation or a direct specialist appointment. It says insured patients follow a different process. State your insurance status at the first contact so that the hospital can identify the correct route. A website appointment request is not a confirmed appointment until the hospital replies with the arrangements.

Make the request easy to assess

Begin with the practical question: are you seeking a first assessment, follow-up for a known condition or a second opinion? Attach only the relevant information through the channel the hospital asks you to use. A short dated summary helps staff understand what you are requesting; an unlabelled collection of photographs is harder to review.

  • Use the patient’s passport name and give reliable contact details for the stay in Korea.
  • Identify previous diagnoses, tests and medicines in a clear list; ask which records need English translation.
  • Specify your preferred consultation language and confirm support for the actual appointment.
  • Ask whether you need an original referral or additional records before a specialist can review the request.
  • Obtain the building, floor, registration location and arrival time in writing.

Keep a copy of the reply offline. For a companion, save the destination on both phones and agree where to meet if registration and testing separate the group. If accessibility support is needed, ask for a suitable entrance and the hospital’s assistance procedure before arrival.

Read “one-stop” as coordination, not a guaranteed finish time

The IHC describes coordinated consultation, treatment and documentation services. This is useful for a visitor navigating an unfamiliar hospital, but it should not be converted into a promise of same-day surgery or a fixed departure time. Ask which steps are actually booked and which depend on the clinician’s assessment. A visit may lead to another appointment rather than a completed treatment plan.

Before payment, ask for a written estimate and whether direct billing applies to your insurer and the proposed service. Also ask about the documents you would need if paying first and claiming later. Confirm emergency billing separately from a planned outpatient visit; the IHC’s own service page distinguishes the emergency route. VEMORIQ does not determine coverage or collect medical records.

Before you return to your hotel or leave Korea

Check how results will be explained, whether further appointments are needed and how to request the relevant medical report. Ask the treating team about any individual restrictions on activity or travel. Keep time for collecting documents rather than making the hospital the final stop before an airport transfer. The duration in a travel itinerary picker is only a planning placeholder.
